“Abigail” is very aware of what type of movie it is. It’s a campy and bonkers horror movie that is often a lot of fun. The movie has extreme violence that is entertaining because it’s over the top and an interesting premise. The movie takes a little while to really get going but I think once the big reveal happens, the movie is just fast-paced entertainment. I don’t think it is a revolutionary movie in any way, but I do think it is the type of movie that would be fun to watch with a large group of people. Overall, I had fun watching this movie and think fans of this brand of campy horror will really find enjoyment in it.
